Rulemaking - Clean Fuel Standard Informal Comment Period
We are seeking informal comments on rulemaking for the Clean Fuels Program (Chapter 173-424 WAC). The goals of this rulemaking are to align the rule with recent state legislation promoting the production and use of sustainable aviation fuels in Washington, implement a third-party verification system, refine unclear rule language, update compliance and enforcement procedures, and make other miscellaneous revisions to strengthen and streamline the program. As this is an informal comment period, Ecology will not issue written responses to comments submitted; however, we will read all comments and use them to help inform our rule development in preparation for our formal rule proposal later this year.
