Jackpot Food Mart 056 Proposed Removal from the Hazardous Sites List

The Jackpot Food Mart 056 cleanup Site is located at 500 George Washington Way in Richland. The Site was built in 1989 and is currently operating as a convenience store, car wash, and historically a gasoline station. data has shown that any remaining contamination is below state cleanup standards.

Ecology is proposing to remove the Site from the Hazardous Sites List: The Hazardous Sites List is a statewide list of contaminated sites. The Site is currently ranked a "2" on the list. A rank of "1" is the highest level of concern, while a rank of "5" is the lowest.

You are invited to review and comment on the:

  • Send your comments to Ecology for consideration. Comments will be accepted May 21, 2021 through June 21, 2021

After the comment period ends, Ecology will review and respond to comments received. Ecology will hold a public meeting if requested by 10 or more people. If no significant changes are necessary, the site will be removed from the Hazardous Sites List.
