Temple Distributing Carson Oil Interim Action Work Plan

Ecology invites you to review and comment on the Interim Action Work Plan (IAWP) for the Temple Distributing Carson Oil Site, located at 808 S. Columbus Avenue in Goldendale.

The IAWP proposes the following:

  • Excavate and properly dispose of about 820 cubic yards of soil to a depth of about 5 to 9 feet from six targeted excavation areas.
  • Backfill the excavated areas with clean soil.
  • Decommission two monitoring wells and install three new monitoring wells as part of a long-term groundwater compliance-monitoring program.
  • Focus on safety during implementation, including control of truck traffic and dust during excavation.

You are invited to:

  • Review the Interim Action Work Plan , dated December 13. 2022
  • Send your comments to Ecology. Comments will be accepted March 1, 2023 through March 31, 2023
